Fitness Testing

Your trainer will perform physiological tests including height, weight, blood pressure, body composition and measurements and will have you complete a health and activity questionnaire to determine if you have any issues that could limit your ability to exercise or require modifications to your programme.

Testing is repeated at regular intervals to allow analysis of progress and resultant changes to your exercise plans can then be implemented.

Following on from your health and exercise history assessment and physiological testing a fitness assessment is the next step in designing your exercise programme. This assessment is used to establish a baseline of your current fitness and help determine what sort of exercise you can safely perform. The assessment includes simple measurements of your heart rate during exercise, strength, flexibility and muscular endurance.

At bio sports a variety of assessment protocols are used, and these are repeated at regular intervals to gauge your progress. Your results are compared to norm values providing valuable information on how your fitness rates against the general population.
